Yoga Etiquette

As a Canadian company, of course we value etiquette. It's the polite thing to do.
Understanding basic yoga etiquette helps everyone feel more comfortable & relaxed.

THE BASICS

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early. Give yourself time to unwind before class begins so you don't feel hurried.

  • Don't try to impress anyone. Yoga is not a competition! We're all human and experience things differently from one day to the next. This applies to each side of the body and the body next to you. We're all in it together.

  • Take your shoes off. Yoga is best practiced bare foot, but maybe pack some socks to enhance the warm, comfy feeling during Savasana (the super slow part at the end).

  • Stay for Savasana! This deep rest helps you relax & fully receive the benefits of your yoga practice.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO A YOGA CLASS?

Yourself (and maybe a friend)

A yoga mat, if you have one (if not, we have a few you can borrow)

WATER!

Comfortable, stretchy clothing. Whatever you feel good in.

Weather is unpredictable, so please come prepared. (sunscreen, bug spray, lightweight & warm clothes, etc.)

WHAT SHOULDN'T I BRING TO A YOGA CLASS?

Expectations

Ego

Bad vibes

Electronic devices (if you bring them, put them on silent)
