The Everyday Weekend's Story

The Everyday Weekend makes EVERY DAY feel like the weekend!
In the digital, constantly-connected world in which we live, The Everyday Weekend offers a much-needed break. By practicing yoga regularly, we can live more mindfully so we don't wait until the weekend to relax and be happy. Our beginner-friendly yoga classes & events are especially designed for those who spend a lot of time sitting in front of screens—whether that’s a computer at work, a television at home, or a cellphone en route from one to the other.

Unplug to Recharge

One strategy that is particularly effective in relieving stress is spending time in the GREAT outdoors. The Everyday Weekend has adopted an "evergreen" approach to yoga so classes remain perennially fresh, interesting, and FUN.

Hi! I'm Jessica.

I'm a certified yoga teacher with a soft spot for nature. I'm also the Director of Fun at The Everyday Weekend.

Born & grown in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, I stumbled upon yoga as a way to cope with the pressures of work & our busy modern world. It has helped me so much! When I take time to practice yoga, I can relax, feel more comfortable in my body, and take on challenges with more ease. I'm confident yoga can help you feel better too! The trick is to keep things FUN.

Folksy is my middle name.   My cat & my dog are among my best friends. My belly laughs can be heard from a distance. I try to find humour in everything—especially myself. I was briefly a stand-up comedian, but now I prefer sitting down drinking beer.  I'm not perfect & you don't need to be either!

I like to incorporate themes of practical psychology & creativity into my yoga classes. My hope is for you to take the teachings of yoga off the mat & creatively apply them to your everyday lives.
